Pre & Post-Natal Training
What is it?
Our primary focus is to help pre & post-natal women feel confident in their changing bodies. A woman’s body feels different every day during and after pregnancy. Training during this time can be confusing due to conflicting information being given over multiple sources. We will provide safe and effective coaching for each trimester during pregnancy and when you return to normal activities after pregnancy.
Pre-Natal
When can I start?
Pre-natal training is an important component of a healthy pregnancy and can begin as soon as you learn you are pregnant. It is important to remain active during pregnancy to help you physically & mentally prepare your body for the upcoming changes.
Our trainers are dedicated to your individual journey. It is vital to have a trainer that is able to appropriately program for you every step of the way.
What do we focus on?
Pre-natal training will consist of breathing exercises that will help you learn to connect with your pelvic floor muscles. This is essential for long-term pelvic floor functioning, strength training, and conditioning. We want to keep you working on all aspects of your fitness to keep your program well-rounded.
In addition, we focus on movements and programs that will build strength, establish proper alignment, connect to a deep core brace, and help manage common pregnancy related symptoms. We are committed to keeping the baby safe and mom strong!
Post-Natal
When can I start?
Most doctors will release you to begin exercising at 6 weeks postpartum, but do make sure to consult with your doctor. Our trainers will be fully prepared for you when you do return.
What do we focus on?
Post-natal training is a critical time for you to start connecting with your body and focusing on how you feel. Postnatal exercises, which are aimed on breathing patterns, strength training, and conditioning, are focused on improving your physical and mental well-being while still caring for your healing, postnatal body.
Giving birth is equivalent to major orthopedic surgery and it takes time to recover and rebuild. You wouldn’t start doing everything normally 6 weeks after having ankle surgery! Our certified trainers will work with you at a comfortable pace to help you feel stronger and more confident in your transitioning body.
Our trainers who offer specifically tailored services to Pre & Post-Natal clients are required to complete Pre & Post-Natal certifications through a reputable institution.
